Summary

Melting for the Marines picks up where Jewel Jennings has come to lend her investigative skills to help her good friend Eve.  Jewel settles in and soon meets the other team members who are also lending their help solving the mystery.  Instantly there is chemistry between Jewel and the tall hard bodied ex-marine twins Kurt and Kyle.  Will Jewel find it hard to focus on anything but her desire for the Ryce twins?

Review

Overall 3 words to describe this novel: Intriguing, Yummy, and a whole lot of Fun

I thought that the book was going to be hot and about a couple meeting, little did I know what was in store for me.  Straightaway, it jumps right in to the action (both the mystery and the sexy fun) and it never stops moving!  Dani does an amazing job drawing you in from the start and it just gets more fun with every page!

I really connected with this book because I love a good mystery and a good hot romance—this one is both!  Immediately you start to root for the characters because of the heartbreaking thing that has drawn them all together.  These are just really good people who are helping out their friends.

What further makes this book so enjoyable and unique is the way in which it is told using the inside perspectives of all of the characters thoughts—none more than the other—as if it is a soap opera telling of the events in a way.  The way Dani seamlessly transitions between each perspective really drives the story.

Even though, as I just mentioned, Jewel’s perspective is not the only one highlighted in the book, I absolutely loved and felt like I stepped into Jewel’s shoes.  Jewel is just one of those sharp cookies and spirited spitfires that inspires you and allows you to live vicariously through her setting your mind free to be a little adventurous, bold, and sexy all at the same time. (giggles)  I love characters like that!

Confession time, as I read, I couldn’t help but to constantly think man are these guys hot about the twins from their descriptions.  Kurt and Kyle are dripping with gorgeousness and have sexiness in spades.  They each may look like the other, but they are definitely different—in a good way too.  The sparks between the Ryce brothers and Jewel are fiercely hot!

Continuing on the subject of descriptions, the details and the masterful words Dani elected to use were excellent.  With every new sexy exchange there was a new tone and intensity that made each of them more exciting!  The descriptions put you right inside the moments of the book and every carefully crafted word used: HOT.

Melting for the Marines has a really nice pace, gets a lot done in a short amount of time, and is loaded with ultra-sexy moments.  One of which that comes up in the novel will definitely raise your body temp while you read it.  Yes, it’s that HOT.  (giggles)  I won’t say more than that!

The only things I will say are, the heat level is off-the-charts and what about that ending?  Wow, awesome!

If you are looking for a something thrilling yet equally sexy to read, I’d happily recommend this one.  It is one part HOT and the other part STEAMY!  So very good!  And far from disappointing.  I definitely give this 5 STARS!

Dani, I salute you for writing this one!
