MEET THE AUTHOR
FEATURED AUTHOR: Lo-arna Green
Hello to all of you out there in the SBC universe. My name is Royal and today I had the pleasure of interviewing a writer who I’m sure you all will find to be extremely fascinating. This interview features celebrated writer Lo-arna Green. Here is what Lo-arna had to say to us here at SBC when we sat down with her for her interview.
So Lo-arna let’s start the interview with this question, WHAT GENRE do you write in? Why?
Romance mainly. They were always my favourite to read. Romance and horror.
And what are the TITLES OF YOUR BOOKS Lo-arna?
Released book titles are All The Colours, All The Darkness and All The Games. They are a series, each focusing on a different character within that circle of friends. I have one more planned for the series and have a few others I am working on at the moment.
Lo-arna, can you tells us when did you START WRITING?
I wrote a poem for a relief teacher when I was 8, I liked how it felt to write and started experimenting from there. I did it only for me up until about six years ago when I started letting people read my work.
We here at SBC always are happy to learn where an author began their journey. (Royal)
What is one thing you want us to KNOW ABOUT YOU Lo-arna?
That I am equally extroverted and introverted. I know, it confuses me too.
I think it means you are a perfect blend of human. *giggles* (Royal)
Outside of writing Lo-arna, what are some of your OTHER INTERESTS?
I wish I could art in other ways than writing. I realise how boring I am when this question comes up. I do things others do, hang with family and friends, I love staying active and baking – I know two contradictions again. That’s me though.
I think your answer to this question is great. *winks* (Royal)
So Lo-arna, where do you DRAW YOUR INSPIRATION from?
Everywhere. It hits from nowhere and other times I am twiddling my thumbs waiting for something to strike me.
Alright, now let’s focus a little more on your books. Let’s start with, what should someone EXPECT WHEN READING THIS BOOK?
Character-driven fiction. I don’t do surface in any shape or form. I enjoy adding additional ‘themes’ to my work.
And as far as your CURRENT WORK, where did you get the INSPIRATION for it?
I am writing both a historical romance and a supernatural novella at the moment. The historical romance has a poetry theme throughout and that is really special for me because the poetry is real and has been exchanged between my boyfriend and I, he gave me his full permission to use his words any way I wanted when we first got together… and guess what?
The novella was one of those random ones that just sort of appeared in my brain, hey, I’m not complaining!
Can we find any TRACES OF YOUR PERSONALITY in your main character?
I have been told so by people who know me personally. I don’t see it but I guess it’s impossible for some things not to slip through.
Lo-arna can you give our readers a quick blurb about your book All The Colours?

Lo-arna can you give our readers a quick blurb about your book All The Colours?
Blurb of All The Colours:
Jazz lives her life according to colour.
She vibes off people's colour.
Her world is happy, bright, fluro. Until her sister goes missing, followed closely by her mother.
She moves across the country and starts a new life. Some of it good, some of it a little bad. All of it colourful. It is there she meets a man who makes her question herself, her previous life and where she is going in this one. Jazz wants to move forward but she also can't forget the mystery surrounding her mother and sister.
Thank you. I know that our readers will want to see what happens in this novel and the rest of the series ALL THE COLOURS. (Royal)

Your blog on your website www.lo-arnagreen.com is a delight to read. We especially love the blunt and honest nature of it. Can you tell us more about it.
Thank you for the compliments on my blog, I need to update it more than I do. I am a pretty blunt and honest person, I don’t believe in sugarcoating – not in a bitchy way – so you can expect that in my blogging as well.
Do you have any ADVICE ON EDITING?
My advice with editing is the more eyes on a piece the better. We are all only human and can miss things.
Can you tells us a little about YOUR POETRY?
My poetry is sickeningly romantic. I think I was always a closet romantic but could never seem to really stomach it in real life until I met my boyfriend and now it just comes out daily. The love poems.
Now let me ask you YOUR FAVORITE AUTHORS, do you mind telling who do you like to read?
Stephen King, Dean Koontz.
Please also check out Jewel E Leonard, I see big things for her.
I think your list of authors is wonderful. We here at SBC have to agree with you about Jewel E. Leonard. She is definitely one to watch. (Royal)
Lo-arna what would you say is the BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU RECEIVED as a writer?
Write from the heart, you can’t please everyone so stay true to you. And just remember, you have projected an image from YOUR head and planted it in someone else’s. That is right up there with super powers in my opinion.
Do you mind sharing a TIP FOR ASPIRING AUTHORS out there?
Don’t give up. It’s hard and it’s disheartening at times but just keep going.
Lo-arna, what is up next for you? First, tells us what is your upcoming release(s) is/are called.
The historical romance, Paper Dreams and the novella Believe in Stone. I hope to have both out by the end of the year.
What should people EXPECT to see from you IN THE FUTURE Lo-arna?
More romantic stories and poems.
Our readers always want to know where they can pick up an author’s work. Where can we BUY YOUR BOOKS?
