3 words to describe this novel: Hooked, Empowering, and Romantic
Her Unexpected Life hooked me in the first few moments of the book. The book hits the ground running from the moment Valerie learns of the life-altering news. The way she finds out and where she is, as far as setting, when she does immerses the reader within the story in a completely relatable way. The refreshing thing is that the entire novel is relatable like that, and with every moment I became more invested in Val’s story. I connected with Val because of her strength to get on with her life no matter how much pain she was in or what was thrown at her. The couple’s connection and romance was well-written and sweet. I loved every minute of it. All in all the story gripped at my heartstrings through the honest true to life way it was told. I rooted for Valerie the entire time! I give this 4 STARS! This was an amazing read, and I most definitely recommend this one. I will certainly read another one from this author. Thanks, Brickley Jules for writing this one!
