How do I get an INTERVIEW OR REVIEW?

What happens ONCE I AM ACCEPTED for an interview or review (or both)?
SBC will contact you to request additional information about you and your book.
Does SBC accept ALL GENRES?
Yes, we love to read and accept all* genres!
We love: YA, Sci-Fi, Literature, Paranormal, Fantasy (Vampires, etc), Thriller, Poetry, Inspirational, Quests, Chick Lite, Sweet Romance, Sensual Romance, Ultra-Sexy, and Oh-So-Yummy Erotic Stories.
*NOTE: At this time we are sorry to say that the only genre that we DO NOT accept is Horror.
Although we delight in reading fiction of any style, we also do non-fiction reviews.
If you have a question as to if we will accept your book, feel free to send that question over via email.
*ADDITIONAL NOTE: We DO NOT accept any material that we deem to be offensive, highly inappropriate, or distasteful. We uphold the same guidelines as professional publishers’ standards.
DO YOU HAVE TO PAY anything for a Review, Interview, or promotion on the website (or affiliated social media websites)?
No. We do this website to get the word out about great authors and great books!
*Disclosure (SBC Free Services): All of the services that we provide are completely free for authors. We use our SBC Amazon Associate link to point to author’s books in all listings on the website. If someone clicks the link and downloads it, Amazon gives SBC a percentage of anything (book related or not) user buys within 24 hours of clicking the link. That way we can share author’s books for free without any cost for advertisement to authors.
What types (LENGTHS) of works does SBC accept?
We accept varying lengths. Mini Stories to Super Novels. (5,000-100,000 words)
Can I REQUEST A REVIEWER?
Yes, if you have made personal contact with one of the SBC reviewers that you’d like to have review your book, please note that in your submission.
If you have been reviewed by SBC previously and are submitting a new title for review you may also request the same reviewer if you choose.
Can I REQUEST AN INTERVIEWER?
Yes, you can make the request, but due to volume, interviews are typically done in the order as they are received. (We will try to accommodate, but we hold tight to the turnaround schedule.)
What is the TURNAROUND TIME?
Interviews are posted 1-6 months.
Reviews are posted as completed. (Time may be extended due to the length of the novel submitted.)
Why do the INTERVIEWERS OR REVIEWERS HAVE PENNAMES?
We get this question from time to time, and we feel that what makes our website special is that SBC likes to highlight the author being interviewed or reviewed exclusively. It is not about US the SBC staff; however, all authors have access to know who the actual person (a literary professional) is that performs the interview for their personal and professional reference. (If you are an author selected or referred to SBC by a friend to do an interview/review, more details will be provided.)
Also, it is just our way of making it a little bit more fun! Our uniquely creative signature to our website!
Can you do an Interview or Review BEFORE MY BOOK IS OUT?
Yes, you can do an Interview. (Please provide a tentative release date.)
Yes, if you have an ARC (Advance Reader’s Copy) of the book you may submit it for a Review. Please note that the Review will not be posted until the book has been released for pre-sales.
Where will the Interview or Review BE VISIBLE (POSTED)?
Interviews will be posted to SBC’s website with promotion from SBC’s other forms of social media.
Review will be posted on SBC’s website and other forms of social media. Also, we post additional reviews on Amazon, and the like, when specific submission criteria is met. (More information will be provided at a later time if your book is chosen for a review.)
What INFORMATION do YOU NEED TO PROVIDE WHEN SUBMITTING an inquiry to request an Interview, Review, or Both?
Identify which one you want. Please provide a brief background about you as an author and a blurb on the book you want to be reviewed. Please also provide your email contact information.
If we are going to move forward with an Interview or a Review we will send a request for more information.
NOTE: If you were referred by anyone please include that in your email.
How do I get to be on the FEATURED AUTHOR’S PAGE?
Let us know that you are interested in being placed on the list to watch at the time of your submission and we will work you in.
NOTE: If you did not do that at the time of submission, please send a follow up request in an email.
Does SBC get a lot of TRAFFIC ON THE WEBSITE?
Yes, we get great traffic and have a high volume of people that frequent our website. It is great exposure for authors!
Can SBC DECLINE or REFUSE to do an interview / review at any time during the active process / or submission process?
Yes, for whatever reason SBC can cancel / decline an interview /review at any time we choose.
